    button making

Does anybody know where I can get a button-maker and materials to do 1" buttons, preferably the kind with the circular metal ring with a point that runs through the middle (I'm sure there's some technical term here...) rather than with safety pins. Cheers, tml

    Bass Amplification

Ampegs are really over priced Crates with another badge on them; they come off the same factory line. Have you looked into nice (i.e. not Workingman) SWR's? I had the Redhead and a cab out and gigged with it for years. Brilliant amps and great cabinets, tough as nails too.

    Irish Punk History

Oh, sorry, it's for a potential sociology survey, as 'straight edge' (as far as the song which gave rise to the moniker was released in 1981) turns 25 this year. I haven't been in Ireland long and was curious as to the movements history here. I was also curious about other movement oriented...

    Irish Punk History

Trying to compile a list of Irish punk bands, specifically those who have belonged to "subgenres" within the scene. Can anybody help with Irish punks who played/recorded under auspices such as straight edge/queercore/riot grrl/veggie+vegan/etc? I'm not just looking for contemporary stuff either...

Anyone else sick of counting to four?

Experienced bass player with no intentions of world domination seeks musicians to form new band. I like fusion-era Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, Yusef Lateef, Gabor Szabo, and other Impulse! jazz, but I also really like shitty mid-ninties hardcore like Shai Hulud and Strongarm. I also like...
