My Bloody Valentine were my comedy band

McGee's a mentalist - he believes his own hype too much. I don't know how anyone could ever respect the opinion of the man who signed bloody OASIS, for god's sake. Has anyone ever seen any of his myspace bulletins? They're all typed in CAPS LIKE THIS and are all about his "favourite albums...

    a question for bands

normally "would you tune your fucking guitar?" or something like that... The whole moving bass drum thing has happened a few times too.

    Wedding Present Fans

+1 on Bizarro, it's a great album. They're touring here soon, playing "george best" in its' entirety. Should be pretty good.

    Crimes against guitars....

I think it has a mix of baritone strings and some other wierd shit on it. I don't really understand it, to be honest.

    daisy rock...

well yeah, that one's nice, but look at this: It's not *quite* as tasteful....

    daisy rock...

it wouldn't be so bad if they offered their guitars in regular colours too - is it too much to ask for black? Any i've tried have played really well, I just don't think "rainbow sparkle" is the colour for me....

    Keeping a strat in tune?

+! on this - just screw it right all the way in. You'll not be able to use the trem, but then again you shouldn't have bought a strat if you wanted to do that anyway...

    Tele Envy

I've got a '72 tele, it's amazing. although the neck pickup doesn't work anymore. I guess 30-odd years of country will do that to a pickup... I'd love to get one of the '67 reissues they were doing a while back, cos I can't really gig my '72 and it's about the closest thing. And they're doing...

    Adjustments to action on guitar

Not really - you can't adjust the individual saddles for height, but you can use the two adjusters at the side to adjust the height of the whole bridge.

    Adjustments to action on guitar

i've never found Buzz Stops to be necessary - a mustang bridge sorted it all out for me. The buzz stops look awful anyway - they really spoil the look of the guitar IMHO.

    Behringer pedals

how not? you can bend pretty much any circuit. you just open it up, and get on with making some connections. I know a guy who made a great self-oscilatting noise machine out of the behringer delay. The ones that have LFO's in them are great for making some mental noises.

    Behringer pedals

nice one, i was thinking about getting some of those to do some circuit bends on :D

    peevey 100W valve

sorry sparse, you're way wrong. Class A and Class A/B refers to what the power amp does to the signal. Class A (or "single-ended") amplifiers are very inefficient, and can never have an efficiency better than 50%. The semiconductor/valve conducts through the entire cycle of the waveform...

    wrong wrong wrong.

oh, that is just fucking awful - matt finish, 3 shitty weird pickups... It looks like some shit they would have come up with in the '70s.

    Buying a guitar in 'merica...

I bought a guitar in America years ago, and we got the guy in the shop to make out a fake reciept which said that the guitar was worth much less than it actually was - this way, if Customs do try to charge you for it, you'll end up paying a lot less.

    Help I dentifing a Pedal

The Jekyll and Hyde is great - it's got a distortion channel and an overdrive channel, and there's plenty of gain off the volume pots so you can use it at a lead boost too.
