Here's the most cartoonish puncture i ever got. It actually had an entry and exit wound.

They are a bitch to mount, i did a few in my workshop days. I didn't have a track pump for the past few years and was running them as low as about 20ish and no pinches yet. Actually the wheel got destroyed by a bus and the tire survived. edit - In general, they possibly do pinch easier, but...

I have those schwalbe marathon tires on - I've about 6000km up on them now without a puncture and they are still in good nick. Fair bit of messing on tracks with that too. #recommend

Finally did the mayo greenway*. Westport to newport isn't mindblowing but the rest is. Added on a bit to go out to the edge of Achill Island which is lovely but also adding an hour or so of hillclimbing on the end. *did little bits before

Poor lady, I've never lived in the city and I've seen that happen twice. I heard they cheaped out on rubber fillers for the tracks

...fix the car - i will eventually but I'm trying to hit the full 4 weeks of the month doing everything on a bike. I used a loaner car one day and got a pay as you go car twice to cover pre-booked trips. Interesting to see how much I actually *need* the car, though I do *want* to go to the beach...

Today's attempted murder was a guy in a 25 seater bus trying to road rage me off the road - I'm 100% happy to head to the cops and report this kind of craic. Anyone ever done this?

When it launched *someone* might have asked them to do a media spot, and got a kinda *why for would we do that* type response. I love that shit though

The red brick and cut stone is strange to me. I'm not sure I've seen that anywhere from galway to Donegal. Cork would have different trade links though I suppose.

I'd a loaner car to sort all my bulk things for the week while I fix car things and spent the whole day grinding about in traffic watching people cycle about in bliss.

Yeah those are 'scrapyard on sight' for us. Plane Jane mountain bikes with no suspension have the best turnover for recycling/getting back into usage because the configurations are common and simple. vintage stuff is left to the two greybeards who know that stuff better, but its more likely to...

depending on how fucked it might be better to bring them straight to the metal yard. The bike / recycle gang I work for - about 20% of what we are salvaging is legit for a new user, a fair bit is parted out, but at large still 70% ish is metal recycling already. But like, you should put oil...

I didn't know what to make of them and then I was up some mountains in kerry and there were a load of people who were a bit older or say not your regular cyclists living on raisins and gels body types and they were able to experience the mountains and i've been completely sold on them since then.

After almost 3 months of not cycling i forced myself back on today. Of course after 10 mins I was loving it. However it is very wet and I have learned today that my panniers, after about 14 years or so now leak water. Nice to be back at it though.

I don't know anything about Sun but i know the Irish Built Raleighs have different badge on the front, possibly not saying location if that would help. A quick google of a sun bike showed me the birmingham ones said birmingham on the badge below the seat post.
