it's the entire price of everthing to do with the vehicle from purchase to fuel at a per/km rate. TCO. Marginal would be around 2.70

My overly complicated spreadsheet tells me that when I cycle to work it's in the region of 6eu not spent on the car per day.

I think they use magic to stop that being an issue. I suspect it might be some automated safety sensor type deal with the cyclist. The one near us has about 1 minute down time before the train comes which i suspect is to give plenty of room for errors, or some eijit climbing under the railing
