    Jaysus cycling!

In the small experience i've had with 3 wheelers the bearings absolutely hate the non vertical loads across the back end and they eat them pretty quicky. I've not watched that guy before but I like that hes messing about making stuff in any case. We made a fair few go carts like that when we...

Yes well over 60%, and even the majority costs that arent the purchase of the bike are also purchases rather than repairs (clothes, paniers, locks and all that).

    Jaysus cycling!

Ok a bit of patching-in stuff and all the rest but kinda surprised by the outcome. The bike (the collective bike, i have two plus a pile of gear that i wouldn't own otherwise) is hitting around 18c per km TCO. The car is in around 23c per km TCO. The bike TCO will fall faster - like every 14...

    Jaysus cycling!

Nah i'm not a magazine person really. It is interesting though i'll probably read more about it. I've been concentrating more on speed in cycling this last while, not with a view to racing, but more to solidifying my commute at about 50 mins

On further reflection I haven't offset that with price of the bike and bike bits etc which will probably strip a euro or something off it. More as it happens.

it's the entire price of everthing to do with the vehicle from purchase to fuel at a per/km rate. TCO. Marginal would be around 2.70

My overly complicated spreadsheet tells me that when I cycle to work it's in the region of 6eu not spent on the car per day.

    Jaysus cycling!

Finally carved out a bit of time to get back on the bike the past few weeks. Life is better. I'm not as slow as I was expecting to be going back.

    Jaysus cycling!

I'm on the fence since i cycled round the netherlands. But entirely to give angry drivers less leverage and because i like to cycle fast I always wear one in town. Meanwhile I completely planted myself on the clips on the end of the driveway recently. I didn't know the second foot had...

I think they use magic to stop that being an issue. I suspect it might be some automated safety sensor type deal with the cyclist. The one near us has about 1 minute down time before the train comes which i suspect is to give plenty of room for errors, or some eijit climbing under the railing

I got clips in my late 30s, its not so much about speed, its more about being able to push and pull
