Aye, I got "Sea from Shore" a while back, but haven't worn it in properly yet...its not as instant as the Field Music stuff...but still have to give it a few more spins. I remember when I first heard how good "Tones of Town" sounded, I thought it must have been done in an expensive studio out...

I'm sure you're all familiar with the Musical Rooms blog...if you're not, then get familiar. I love the sound of "Tones of Town", so I was really shocked (and inspired) to find out that Field Music recorded their stuff in a 'normal' room with average priced mics...check it out...class.

Cheers for the offer pissypants, but got it sorted last night... brought it into Melodyne and worked OK, to my surprise. The original sample was fairly beat-up to start with, so you can't really notice the degradation after Melodyning it, and time-stretching it. I'll just put it though a vinyl...

I want to change the pitch of a WAV sample by a few semitones. The WAV is a mix of instruments, not just an individual track, so rules out the versions of Melodyne and Autotune that I have. What is the easiest way to do this in Protools? Is there a plug-in I could use? I remember doing this...

I need to get 2 mics for drum overheads. I'd like it to a pretty good quality. Twould be a bonus if they were also good for vocals & acoustic guitar, but not essential. Something like a AT-4033 would ideal, but they are €349 each, and my budget is €400-€450 in total. I've been browsing around...
