    Repeal The 8th Amendment

The Eighth Archives - Headstuff This is great. There's a very obvious and decent defence of the 12 week thing in the latest episode. I don't know if it's been posted before, apologies if it has. If you're going for it, it's worth listening to the preamble episode. It gives you a flavour of...

This is funny... Mine is one time I was with my band on a writing/rehearsal week in Easkey, one January. Got home drunk, suggested we all go swimming. No-one else wanted to go, so probably 4am, out of my mind, I went down to the shore, took my clothes off and walked out into the sea. The tide...

    Repeal The 8th Amendment

I use my family home address for voting...my folks haven't received our little stack of four cards yet, we would usually have them by now. So just now I decided to check the register, for the first time in my life. And none of us is on it. I reckon it's just some mis-spelling on the register...

In other news, the book on Jaki Liebezeit I'm doing a part for is up to 90% funding now, we're within spitting distance of the finishing line. There are a couple of extracts on the Unbound website below which will give you a feel for what it's like celebrating 90% and a new chapter | Unbound

    Upcoming Gigs of Interest

Was just about to post up about Irmin Schmidt, who is speaking at this with Rob Young, to launch the new Can book. No point now I spose. I dunno - I'd like to hear what loads of them have to say - Cosey Fanni Tutti, Billy Bragg, Andy Weatherall, all interesting folk. Hundred and nineteen pound...

What movie did you watch last night?

Sullivan's Travels, one of the best movies I've ever seen. Highly recommended. Watched a few Marvel movies recently, I don't like 'em.

    How do you pronounce 'audoen'?

I pronounce it as if it were written "Auden", because of this: Π- Wikipedia (I've seen the "oe" in Audoen written like this several times) I've heard people pronounce it "Audwen" and "Audien" though, so maybe there's something local in one of those, like "Iveagh" being pronounced "Ivy"...

    MC5 reform...

Good gig, I thought. I was a bit weirded out by the rock heritage on stage, it took a while to stop thinking "so THAT'S what Brian James looks like now", etc etc. I really thought Kick Out The Jams was head and shoulders better than anything else they played though.

    MC5 reform...

Did anyone see Mad For The Racket in Whelans? Kramer, Brian James, Clem Burke, and...Mani. It was mad, and a racket, although the only really really great moment was when they played Kick Out The Jams. Brilliant.
