    Wow, that's a great piece of writing. I'm going to have to take the time to read it more closely. I was always interested in that topic - whether there is a peculiar difference between reading something for pleasure and/or for academic purposes, and where the lines become blurred. Cheers John.

    I'm a fairly slow reader and would be lucky to get through 15-18 books in a year. I find when I hurry through a book that I just don't get as much out of it - like devouring a dinner without really tasting it. I do need to spend more actual time reading though and get off the bloody Internet...
