The Green Road by Anne Enright The writing was great for a while, and then upon reaching the Christmas section, she turned it up to amazing. God though, her world view is unforgiving and stony hard.

Reading a Margaret Atwood short stories collection. One of the stories is called The Dead Hand Loves You, which reminded me of the BWFF as it's main protagonist is a severed hand. Great collection actually

I didn't mind too much - his characters have a habit of popping up across several books. I quite like the one that showed up here. But I know what you mean - I'd like to see him make a clean break from this type of thing.

Reading The Wallcreeper by Nell Zink A short tale of marriage, infidelity and bird-watching! Kept seeing her name in interesting places, so I just upped and bought it. Pretty good so far.
