Not movies but watched loads of 'Masters of Horror' this week. Pretty silly overall but the John Carpenter episode is quality.

I think Before Sunrise is one of those films that you have to see when you're kinda young and less cynical. I reckon if I saw it for the first time now I'd be throwing things at the TV.

Tried watching Miami Vice last night. Got about 10 minutes in and turned it off. Anyone seen it? Is it worth giving it another go tonight?

yeah - last 45 mins was boring but I guess it reflected how the assassins were feeling. I did find myself losing interest around then myself.

Fearless - Great action scenes and a few decent laughs but a little cheesy overall. Didn't know what it wanted to be. The Grudge 2 - Mehhh - getting sick of Japanese horros with the spooky long haired ghosts etc. A few good scenes and I like the way it was edited.

Yeah, love that too but Mulholland Drive (to me) is his most perfectly realised 'Lynch' movie. Just the right amount of weirdness etc. The Lost Highway did my head in cos No matter how many times I watch it I can't really fully 'get' it.

Yeah - I love that movie. Probably my favourite recent-ish Lynch film.

Omen 666 - I really enjoyed this. I liked the way the remake focused on the family more than the original did. Prefer the original but as horror remakes go this was pretty decent. The Ice Harvest - Looked good on paper and some great scenes but it felt like the film had been edited to death.

Da Vinci Code - Reminded my of a really boring Indiana Jones. Never read the book. Niagara Motel - Mehhh - alright - reminded me of something else.

United 93 - Way better than I thought it could ever possibly be. Pretty grim and no real 'America - Fuck Yeah' attitude. Shockingly good. Slither - I was really looking forward to this but it sucked. Not gory or funny enough. Waste of time.

I've heard a few people saying they were blown away by this. Really looking forward to seeing it now.

Ah - I loved Cypher. Some of the best sound design I've heard in a sci-fi movie in ages too.

Yeah - they only thing the used CGI for was the fog/ash in the town.
