This is a great little read. I picked it up for 2 bones in Galway, which was nice. It's mad how many facets of history you hear about but are completely ignorant of.

Well I just finished Roth's Nemesis there. It's good but I didn't like it as much as I liked Indignation. Definitely better than The Humbling, thank fuck.

I quite enjoyed the forensic analysis our English teacher did of the Mayor Of Casterbridge when we were studying it at LC. I'd say at college level it's a different kettle of grenades.

Just got this today and only about 20 pages in, Phillip Roth's Nemesis. It's another novella, his fourth in a row, here's hoping it's more like Indignation and less like The Humbling, which was a pile of shite. It's set during a Polio epidemic in New Jersey in 1944.

Liberation by William Hitchcock. It's a harrowing account of the impact of the end of the war on civilians in Europe. I found it very readable if a tad grim.
