right that new ad is bugging the shit out of me.

1. It's fucking "Rice Krispie Cakes" not "Rice Krispies Cakes". I don't give a fuck if that's the official brand name - if they're going to try to appropriate childhood memories of birthday parties then they needn't think they're changing the spelling just to suit their fucking marketing department.

2. there's no fucking chocolate in their rice krispie cakes! fucking losers.

nah, wrong on all accounts, it's a Rice Crispy Bun & their very existence is being smothered in chocolate.

This is obviously something you feel quite strongly about ;)

It looks like we could possibly blame boards.ie for this

I loved rice krispie squares when they came out. I used to dip them in coffee.

I got sick of them, but it has been a while.

rice krispie buns.

The squares were vile. What was the sticky white goo used to hold them together? It reminded me of the glue/paste stuff you got in primary school. Barff.

I would point out that it's not a bun, as buns are dough-based, but it's obviously not a cake in the strictest sense of the word either.
I think we're looking at a live-and-let-live situation here, vis-a-vis nomenclature and taxonomy
