Couldn't find a decent app for blocking this, but there is a FF add-on. Seems to work.

I got logged out a couple a couple of hours ago. Seems to happen randomly, and is terrifying because I can't remember my password.

Thumped logs me out pretty much every day and then shouts at me that I’m already logged in when I log in again

this sounds like a simple query, but i suspect the answer is no; is there any way to change the page display so the last say 20 replies show; i.e. start the thread at the last post and work backwards, rather than the converse?

you'd not get that effect where you open a thread and there's one post showing in the latest page and you have to click back to see the context.
