Cleared the cache and restarted. Seems better but still erratic..sometimes have to reload the page to access alerts at the top of the page etc

Well..I just cleaned up all my shit and it came back to life.

I hadnt done any kinda maintenance in fucking ages.

There was something bogging it down..fuck knows what

i think this is because in the standard forum view you can click the headings to sort, rather than it being a straightforward table layout header row.

Each post loads with the content appearing as one letter per line.
