i should probably give this back to mr old

Just finished The Planets. A good read, but a bit short I thought. Only lasted 4 or 5 bus journeys.

Has inspired me to go watch all of Cosmos again, which has to be a good thing.

Just finishing Far from the Madding Crowd. Hardy's books follow a bit of a formula: first third is deadly; second thrid bad guys win; final third crazy shit happens, mostly involving death. He's class. John Irving next.

my copy of this was all fucked up and easons refused to change it. the chapters were all messed up and one was duplicated, bah.

Three Men on a Bummel by Jerome K Jerome - brilliant read.

Can barely get through a chapter at a sitting though as my sides hurt so much.

Am reading La Dame aux Camelias by Alexandre Dumas Fils (Alexandre Dumas's son). A very romantic story about a young man who develops a relationship with a celebrated courtesan who is dying of consumption. Not quite a beach read.

"Imperialist Ambitions" - Conversations with Noam Chomsky on the post 9/11 world. Great read.
