Hey. Short and sweet.

This isn't about losing the place as a venue - it's about the bar being closed completely.

A sergeant from the bridewell cop shop was down last week about people drinking on the street outside the bar. On that occasion they were from a function upstairs. Basically, they've been given a warning and next time they come across it the bar will be closed for 2 months.

At both gigs this week there were people drinking outside. People who should and DO know better were drinking right outside the door.

If ya need to bring cans/bottles drink em inside. The couple of quid lost at the bar is fuck all compared to what will happen if the place is closed completely.

Whoever does the gig door should also do the door drinking rule...or just ask Jamie to do it.

I tell anyone running a gig that the money table has to be at the door and the person taking money is responsible for making sure that people going out aren't carrying drink.

Funny you mention that. Noticed a few weeks ago that apparently there seems to be one rule for the Lower Deck and one rule for every other venue for some people.

Decko kept going out out with his pint and was pouring cans under the table (Tennants, I believe they were), the last straw was Beano smoking in the jacks, it was like being back in school, the whole thing was a shambles
