Should Liverpool cash in on Torres? (1 Viewer)

Short answer, no. He may be injury prone but he's quite simply one of the top 5 strikers in the world and Liverpool should do everything they can to keep him. Not only has he got an incredible strike rate, crucially he's consistantly proven to be a big match winner - Man United, Chelsea, Inter, Germany etc; etc;. There are plenty of good strikers out there but when something fits it's another level. Get the cash for Masch, a superb defensive midfielder, but infinitely easier to replace. Torres is still only 26, he can jump ship if he's still frustrated in a year or two so I reckon he'll give us one more season at least.

I think Liverpool should sell him and get some money to help pay off their enormous debt. They should have some money left to get a couple of strikers to replace Torres. James Beattie and David Kitson from Stoke should be available for almost nothing. Marlon King is out of jail soon so he may be another option.

Apparently Eric Djemba Djemba is available. I can see him replacing Mascherano. Might be worth seeing was Steve Claridge is up to.

Playing for Liverpool is like having sex with Danielle Lloyd. Footballers think it's glamourous until they realise everyone's had a go.
