This Sat Folks, Groom, The Teamsters (UK) & The Pacifics live at the Retro Revival Sweeneys Bar.
Doors 9pm, Adm €5.
THE TEAMSTERS: From the deepest depths of North London, and in particular Archway where they walk 'The Kentish Mile', come THE TEAMSTERS, the latest garage beat combo to hail from this great British city. This Londoner trio are certainly anchored in today's garage beat sound, writing their own material in their special Teamsters way, however with an undeniable 60s influence and worthy of their heroes who once roamed the slums of Hamburg. However this was not enough for them, and they completed their musical education at the elementary state school of indie and punk which finally gave them that raw, gross sound of a current garage band. I admit Thee Vicars and Black Lips spring to mind, but nevertheless, this is definitely The Teamsters

GROOM: Groom is a pop band from Dublin whose members are Mike, Wil, Jeroen and Ruan. They have released three albums and an EP to date with their new album “Bread & Jam” due in August on Popical Island. Described by notajournalist as "catchier than a retarded chicken"
Groom
THE PACIFICS: The Doyens of Diddley, Archdukes of A-Major, Bards of the Beat, Kings of Hamburg Beat! Renowned for their wild live shows and smart attire, The Pacifics have been playing their din up and down the country, leaving a trail of broken drum kits and fan club badge wearing fanatics in their wake. ". The band capture that vitality and raw soul of classic rock’n’roll perfectly, there's Hamburg-era Beatles, Thee Milkshakes, The Sonics, Chuck Berry all fighting to get out.
