Experimental rockers Rustic Tacki return to Richardsons, in Eyre Square, Galway on Wednesday April 7th, as part of the Patchwork season of underground music.

Expect hypnotic guitar noise, interweaving rhythms, and deep down vocal sounds. "They nailed people to the floor with their oppressive dirgecore, almost like a rock Jandek. They didn't even have a drummer when we saw them but we just had to get them for the galway gig" - Gav, Deserted Village

Also playing on the night is Snowmachine, (the new solo project from a former member of Galway space-rockers Starglow) who promises “avant-folk
lullabies”featuring a guitar/laptop combo.

Doors are at 9 p.m. and admission is just four euro.

You can also catch Rustic Tacki when they play with Black Forest/Black Sea and Murmansk in the Galway Arts Centre in Domnick Street at 4p.m. this saturday, April 3rd.

I really enjoyed that gig. I like how RT developed their piece - was crescendo-esque a la GSYBE at the end. Annemarie's equipment was really cool - I'd be interested to know what exactly she was using and how she set it up. BF/BS were sublime - I could listen to that cello all day.
