those two lines across this pic are giving me the sads. something;s obviously up with the scanner - they appeared on most of the pics i scanned in this evening)

wow. love those pics. there's a real warm fuzzy feeling from them. im not sure how to describe it but they really remind me of MBV.

Are you scanning the negs.I get something very similar when I use the film scanner on my CanoScan 4400F.

i know, right? my great aunt was a photographer all her life. then irony took hold and her sight started to fail. cruel, eh? anyway, i'm SOOOOO glad her kit is staying in the family. means more to her and it sure as hell means alot to me.
i'm bringing that roll out to show her tomorrow.

yup, scanning them - have no time to go to the darkroom. i scanned a few of the others and they had the lines at first but on the second or third go they disappeared. that one kept getting them though. i may need to have the scanner cleaned.

My scanner gave these lines soon as I took it out of the box so I'm going to return it to see if that will sort out the problem. Looking into a dedicated film scanner as I want to be able to scan 120 film as well as 35mm. Hoping to scan all my old photos from years and years ago and I've also just bought a Canon Eos 1 to take pictures on film again.

Let us know how you get on with that would you? I scan 120 film with an Epson 3120 which isn't great. But it's grand I think for what I use it for - making contact sheets and for putting photos on the web - but I do sometimes think about how cool it would be to have a dedicated film scanner ....

The thing is though .. you really need a better scanner to do 35mm well than you do for 120 ... bigger neg means it's easier to scan.

very nice. i love the blues of the sky and the sea versus the reds of the plastic and the rusted iron. makes for a lovely composition. well done.
