Watched the new documentary "Punk's Not Dead" directed by Susan Dynner last night. Brilliant stuff - highly recommend it.

High points were the extensive features on the UK Subs and Subhumans.

No low points really, except maybe for glancing over U.K. anarcho punk (Crass, Conflict, etc.), and Oi music.

Nine out of Ten.

Where did you watch it? where is it available?

I couldn't get it anywhere independent, so I ended up ordering it on Amazon. It's not long out, maybe a couple few weeks, so I reckon the usual places in town will have it soon enough.

You'd love it Janer, in fact, anyone into ANY type/genre of punk will enjoy it.

Also, Pubz from Cork is in it!

I watched it through Google video along with the Crass documentary and American Hardcore and Decline of western civilization. Suburbia's there on it too. It's good I thought. Saw that Clare bloke Pubs on it too.

watched the 1st 30 mins.......
Started off okish, then it went all American, then it went further and went Melodic then it even went further and had Green Day and Kelly Osbourne.........went on for close to 20 mins, Turned off at the commercialisation part in American Shopping Malls and other things (which they did have a point if your referring to the Melodic side of things) ////
I hated most of the 1st 30 mins but I could see a lot of it was true and why I am narrow minded in my thinking of Music, I would vote for me still.
Hopefully the film moves onto the Chaos 82/Oi scene in the next 60 minutes left..
2/10 for content so far & 7/10 for it hurts.

Ya mad bastard Janer, will you watch the whole thing and then review it!

That's what I loved about it though, it shows warts and all, i.e. the crappy pop punk and commercialism that is around at the moment. But it also covers the good stuff too. I thought it was well balanced and generally bang on the button.

I thought it was good although not one mention of Crass, F.O.P.I etc.. I suppose it would be very hard to cover everything.
