i doubt there is even one. and there is no contact between anyone over the border.
was at a gig where the geeks played savage gig. really good band

Glad you enjoyed the post lads! There are some great bands out there that never get heard outside their own country. If anyone else has experience living in some random country maybe they can post a similar set of links for us to listen to. I would love to to think there is a punk band somewhere bashing out tunes in Pyongyang but i really doubt it, they would probably be arrested and thrown into jail by the NK government!
Here are a few more of my personal favourites

The Rocktigers (rockabilly)

Seoul City Suicides (dirty rock'n'roll)

13 Steps (Hardcore)

No. 1 Korean (Ska)

Captain Bootbois (Oi/Metal)

Have tried to cover a range of bands to suit everyone but would be interested to hear which you like.

anyone touring in japan should go to south korea too. its less than an hour by plane and think about 3 gigs are possible there. no excuse is another good enough hardcore punk band. think there is a few crust bands too. cant remember a any names though.
