JD hails from Paducah, Kentucky, and holds the honorary title of Colonel. He is a visual artist and an amateur film maker, as well as a songwriter and an exciting and intense performer with a delivery reminiscent of a fire and brimstone Southern preacher. The Daubers first ever performance was at London’s Raindance Film Festival after JD premiered his critically acclaimed southern-music documentary “Seven Signs”.
The Dirt Daubers have already gained the encouragement and/or approval of such varied stars as Charlie Louvin, and Jello Biafra!
Expect a night of modern American roots music with genuine Southern fervour.

The Dirt Daubers have come down from the mountains and landed squarely in the Mississippi Delta, and this former old time band have decided to plug in(!) to both their blues roots and a regular socket.
Having recently added electric guitar and drums, the Dirt Daubers are finally poised to expand the appeal of their roots based tunes with a whole new Swamp Blues/Rock n Roll kick.
The Dirt Daubers comprises of Legendary Shack Shakers frontman and Southern renaissance man JD Wilkes, his wife Jessica, Shack Shakers guitarist Rod Hamdallah, and Preston Corn on drums. Having started out as a traditional old time acoustic outfit, the band now play a harder edged mix of blues, rockabilly and rock ‘n’ roll , with the occasional banjo driven tune still featuring.JD hails from Paducah, Kentucky, and holds the honorary title of Colonel.
