Its basically Chic with Diana Ross singing lead vox.
Cool track. Catchy. Styled out production. Popping bass.
One of Nile & Bernard's best songs

Lio the Portuguese-Belgian singer born in Mozambique came up in YouTube suggestions today.

She recorded for Ze in the 80's inc. Sparks writing English versions of her songs and more recently did an album of Bossa Nova songs on Crammed Discs.
Telex and Michel Duvall were involved in producing her early material from 1979 onwards.

Lio - Armoureux Solitaries (1980)

She sounds like a more pop version of Elli and Jacno and sure enough this one is a cover of their punk band The Stinky Toys.

Lio - Banana Splits (1980)
Total Gainsbourgesque lyrics on this one (w/ sub titles again)

This was used on at least one advert.

Have to mention Lio seems to have had a grim time at the hands of (mostly older) men. See her French wiki.

Speaking of Elli Medeiros...

Sheila E - The glamorous life (1984)
I've probably posted this already, but its such a cool pop tune. Written by Prince in his golden/purple period. You can hear his voice in the background, and Sheila E :love::love:

From the days of stumbling across a band you know nothing about rifling through the crates in a record shop. I saw this record cover and figured they've got to be worth a gamble

I still love this record
