You got your dark times and you got your happy times. We are somewhere in the middle. We write happy songs about not so happy things, with the intention of making the awful seem not so bad. If you feel that we have made the not so bad seem awful then we have failed, and we apologise.

In 2008, GPO set about turning the Irish indie scene into a brighter prospect Internationally after releasing their debut EP to great reviews, and featuring on US compilation 'Future Sounds'.

The band began touring destroying venues and eardrums in Ireland, the UK and Germany. Their tracks were heard by The Notwist producer, Mario Thaler, who later recorded tracks with the band at Dublin's Apollo Studios. Their October 3rd release 'Ballet Shoes' is a result of this meeting.

Buried in Smoke are a Cork based rock band formed mid 2008 by Ian Stuart (Drums) and Brodie Gee (Guitar and Vocals). Joined soon after and completing the line up by Chris Stubbs (Bass). Spending the following months writing original material and are now playing regular cork gigs. Influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath and the Melvins. Their live show is not to be missed.

Quiet Pilot

Pic to follow

Quiet Pilot is an electronic fun happening that stems from a love of the underwater, clever time signatures, delicious warm synths and pads and the opportuneness that comes from the world of computer music and programs. While Quiet Pilot originally began as a bedroom project for Shane O' Sullivan (who typically made music within a band setting with Cork's Jezery and Elk), it has become an important venture in it's own right after he negotiated his way through the terrifying world of hidden magic and treasure dust that lies within various computer music programs. Having overcome two or three reverb racks and a feisty equaliser, he has now decided to take the music into a live setting using live synths, guitars and a laptop. His music has been described as "kind of like Final Fantasy VII or videogame music", "a narrative" and "sounds like underwater". He's delighted that someone would take the time to imagine any comparison or extension that may arise from listening to Quiet Pilot.
Quiet Pilot is planning to release a long and varied album of ambient and laid-back electronica in 2009 entitled "Consider The Variables".

"Quiet Pilot will subtely submerge you into a whole new world of subterrainean sounds as an immense compositional contrast to his usual multi decibeled lead mastery... These softer , reflective and experimental musical pieces all developed over the past year have a special inspirational edge and professional quality despite seemingly having just been 'knocked up on a lap top'. Whatever course this 'Quiet Pilot' takes with his pending degree one can be certain it will be somewhere deep in the cutting edge of music creation."
