Electric Picnic 2010 Lineup Details (1 Viewer)

Jerry Fish seemed to be on every stage at all times.

oh, and RayRay, your band were deadly. I got incredibly high just breathing in the air in trenchtown. ridiculous.

Really really enjoyed it this year - highlights PIL and Marc Almond - low light the late rain fest - actually Sea Sick Steve was great both times (Salty Dog was intense), finally getting to see Gil Scott and Janelle Monae - seemed to be a lot less people about which probably won't please the organisers but was a dream for the punters!

I'd say if its to continue it'll be day tickets - ergo announcing line up well in advance...

Krossie

Excellent assessment of the Fall gig Das Nugs - the duet with a very surprised bass player was cool plus when Mark had to be stopped from lashing his mike into the crowd - come over here and play on this little key board tingy - nice Marc...

Bus Eireann rarely get props from anyone in the entire known universe so can I just say fantastic - well easy journey back and an almost instant escape from the rain 12am Sunday night - very well organized!

kp

PiL, The National, Gill Scott Heron - superb shows
LCD Soundsystem - great but sound was not so great
808 State - great bit of nostalgia

Coffee and rum in the chai tent in B&S - lifesavers
Big regret was having ten minutes kip in the tent and waking up two hours later having missed Fat Freddy's Drop whom I hear were amazing.

Caribou were the best thing I saw all weekend; amazing show in the B&S, closely followed by Robyn and Foals. Also Fang Island were fantastic!

Bad things were missing Omar Souleyman with the rain... Laura Marling being terrible (sick apparently) and Tallest Man cancelling.

Did Matty cut his hair?!
Yeah, about time too.

I wasn't sure whether to go to Liquid Liquid or the horrors, i choose Liquid Liquid who were up there with caribou, PIL and The fall as the best things i saw over the weekend.

I, or rather my hunger, chose a thai curry over Liquid Liquid, food could not wait any longer..

They were superb at Primavera earlier this year, had wanted to see them again.

Don't have the time (or energy) for long reviews right now, but here are my own quick EP opinions:

Excellent
Public Image Limited
Marc Almond
Fever Ray

Very Good

Liquid Liquid
Seasick Steve
Steve Earle
Dam-Funk
Omar Souleyman

Good
Cymande II
Mountain Man
Janelle Monae
Leftfield
Gil Scott-Heron
The Jolly Boys
Channel One
The Spook of the 13th Lock

Meh
Massive Attack
Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

Not Very Good
Beardyman

Overall, the best of the EPs I've been to. Numbers were down, though, which makes me wonder if it'll happen next year. Hope so.

Oh, New Pornographers, I actually caught the second half, having caught the first half of Wolf Parade.

Neither excited me greatly, but I was glad of the shelter from the rain.

NP seemed to go down well with the audience with their poptastic stylings.
