What's that 'Paths to Freedom' show?

do you not remember that? It was a mock documentary following 2 people on their release from mountjoy. One was a scrote, the other a doctor who'd been done for malpractice. It was funny, but the doctor character got tired before long. They made a movie on the back of it too - can't remember the name though. It was yer man McIlhatton that played the main role and Deirdre O'Kane was in it too.

To the lists above I'd add;

Extras
The US Office (first 4 series - its gone shite since)
some of the earlier Only Fools and Horses episodes
and we mightn't like to admit it but I'm sure we all liked Friends when it was current!

I think The Trip is one of the finest comedies ever written. There i said it. Was only the one series though.

Is there a way to turn off youtube videos?

My faves are:

Scrubs
Black Books
Reaper
South Park
Never mind the Buzzcocks
Father Ted
Bottom

Curb Your Enthusiasm is shite. So is Two and a Half Men actually. And Mike & Molly. Malcolm in the Middle is overrated, that new one, The Middle, is the same thing but better.

The Ian's list was going so well until it got to the thing blue line, can't abide it.

I couldn't find the clip of Inspector Grimm's sublime "Your cock up, my arse" line. That would sway you no doubt.

I never got curb your enthusiasm till i saw the lethal weapon 5 one, and in never really got malcom till i saw the powerwalking one.

Na never saw it, oh well.

Don't think anyone's mentioned The Thick Of It?

Of the recent American ones:
30 Rock was good when it finally clicked with me. I've heard it has gone down hill lately.
Parks and Recreation looks good, Ron Swanson is hilarious.
The American Office is good, though some newer ones were gakk.

I can't remember where I read this (maybe here), but someone was saying that the difference between American and Uk sitcoms is that the Americans change writers and writing teams over the years so there are always new ideas coming through. Where as with the UK ones its usually the same couple of writers from start to finish and they eventually loose steam. Though when Shameless (UK) changed writers after the first few series it went from OK to Awful pretty quick.
