the trend of small bands, (usually a duo, with just a laptop) playing big festivals

Christ it'd be so easy to be in a tiny band. We're a 4-piece these days, and practising once a month is the best we can do (though we do live all over the country in fairness)

Yer man who won best album last night ,whoever his agent is ,is playing a fucking blinder. Because that music is shit and has gotten fuck all traction since he emerged and yet he's all over RTE.

I saw For those I love on Tommy Tiernan last year and there was one or two on twitter saying omg what a performance so powerful so emotional.

It was literally yer man standing still talking about teen suicide or some shit over some laptop beat.

Anyway I just had a look there and I could find a sole tweeter saying omg what a performance so powerful so emotional about his appearance last night.

I haven't seen it yet to see with my own eyes how powerful it was.

A little trip down memory lane.

I can trace the journey from my early 20s and going out all the time and being exited about gigs, through to the 30s bitterness of who are these lads anyway.
