GOOD! COS YOU ARE BANNED!I don't think I want a link to that thread..
Quite right, refer them to trained individuals when they start talking about suicide.
We have had many situations on PI in the past where the PI mods talked through suicide OPs and it was very harrowing all round. One mod had to drink half a bottle of brandy after the ordeal he was so shaken up. I think it was then that the decision was made to never let a suicide thread continue, it's best to leave someone's life up to trained professionals.

i have to GO TO GET CREAM SODIES.
I wasn't being totally serious about the half a bottle of brandy btw, but he was very shaken up. I agree that he took it upon himself to help the poster out, and yes, shutting the thread is drastic, but the Samaritans are trained and the mod helpfully gave this option.
Maybe you could pull your head out of your ass and just allow these threads. People on the brink probably don't want your shitty mods dealing with them anyway. Why can't the threads be left open for the actual members to deal with them? You'll always get people willing. It's great that you guys would sit up all night with someone in that situation, I applaud you for that. We're just not equipped for it.
Maybe this brings up a need for such discussion websites, you guys should set it up if you are so passionate about it.
hey wait, nobody said they'd sit up all night in that situation, what i said is that its no reason to lock the thread.
And offer them another: the samaritansAn option they most likely already had laid out in front of them. All your mods do is close off an additional option.
Not going to happen, ever.Maybe you could pull your head out of your ass and just allow these threads.
And trolling, always get noise with the signal therein lies the problem, the problem that we are always dealing with.People on the brink probably don't want your shitty mods dealing with them anyway. Unless it's somewhere like 4chan, people are going to be friendly.
What did you think I meant by "An option they most likely already had laid out in front of them"? It's not as if they don't advertise. Jesus. And offer them another: the samaritans
Trolling does not compare with completely blocking someone off completely. And trolling, always get noise with the signal therein lies the problem, the problem that we are always dealing with.
You are a terrible human being. Not going to happen, ever.
whats this 4chan thing?
It's an imageboard where people post random pictures and "memes". It used to be kind of funny at one point, but increasingly it's lending itsself towards the creation of "Internet Tough Guys" etc.
I still spend a lot of time there, but I avoid /b/, the main source of the stupidity.
