what does a bbq competition consist of? do people have to build one in a certain amount of time?

Yes, whilst blindfolded with superquinn sausages wrapped around their heads.

I'd wager it's more to do with meat product consumption. Heavy on the award winning sausages, easy on the deceptively condensed heaviness of the delicious peppersteak burgers.

Do we have a venue?

*nearly falls off chair whilst sitting back and stretching arms above head

Sounds like a Krypton Factor "Vegetarian's Nightmare" special.

Anyone want to go on a picnic somewhere?
Need you even ask? Were you thinking North or South of the great divide? It's been years since I was in St Annes

Have you ever tasted the breakfast rolls out of Hicks butchers?

jesus christ.

Yes, I've had a few from there before heading into the office.

Pretty overwhelming - too much food.
Disappointingly the sausages used in the breakfast rolls aren't as good as their big, Italian / range.

lucky bitch. Boh's for me!

what's everyone doing for the bank holiday? i'll be going to the lovely city of cork for this:
August 5th - Threads, Cork,Doom 102, Fred Zepplins bar with Lungs
i  bank holidays

I've been given a couple of tickets to Hi:Fi. Considering going down for a day...Is that a bad thing? Either that or home to Cork...

going to rosses point in shligo camping for the weekend..
although we've now been told that if its windy the tent at the rosses point campsite will blow into the sea..
so we might go to strandhill across the bay...

It seems the first street performance world championships are on at Merrion Square this saturday and sun... it sounds like fun so might head along to that. :)

From here, the finalists include:
· The Australian Space Cowboy who juggles fire and knives on a 10-foot unicycle, while blindfolded and only using one foot
· Eccentric Canadian Mike Wood who catches catapulted cabbages on a spike on his head
· ‘The Piano Juggler‘ from the USA who will thrill you with his art of playing classical music on a piano using juggling balls instead of fingers
· The award-winning Portuguese mime artist Pedro Tochas, whose romantic comedy show will break your heart and mend it within the hour

I'm going to be in sexy Cork on the thursday, where I will, amongst other things, meet a real life Thumped member and sell them Radiohead tickets.

And then, sexy Limerick on the Friday, where again, I will meet a real life Thumped member and sell them Radiohead tickets.

And then, sexy Sligo on the saturday.

And then, sexy Rathangan on the sunday.

And then, sexy sitting at home writing a thesis on the monday.
