Just realised after a quick scan through the shelves that I bought 18 albums that were actually made this year. well i'll be damned. thought I bought about five or six 2011 albums. anyway, the best of them for me was the Laura Sheeran one. followed closely by Black Earth by Implodes

radiohead - king of limbs

I only got that the other week and have only been listening to it for about 3 days. I think its great. Not all great but mostly great.

I'll add it to my list.

"Another Year of Rock" is shaping up nicely. Only listening to it as a complete album today. Dinah Brand's 'I Can Walk Through' as well. Or was that last year?
I like "You Have the Right to Remain Retarded", but I've heard it too many times.

its not from this year, but this has been my most listened and enjoyed. i feel awful saying so because i have big monster love's copy which he never even got to take home and then my friend wrecked the inlay card. i'll just buy you a new one. fireplace-isis and my guitar is a magic wand are my faves, also the triffif lamps of bellingham.

James Blake: Some pleasantish tunes in places but overall it bored the hole off me. That gig in Whelans was awful po faced bollocks

Beat Happening: You Turn Me On. Only really got into them this year and I can't stop playing this album. Gonna have to get more by them

I'm really enjoying 50 Words For Snow. Some of the collabs sound a little heavy handed, but that's only a minor quibble. It's a very satisfying album.

The Twin Sister album (In Heaven) is a great listen too. Not a million miles off the polished Destroyer MIDI-fied sound.
