The festival will cost €25 excluding service and handling fees for the entire weekend and access to every venue will be strictly on a first come, first served basis.

The call for bands is expected to top last year's entries, which totalled a staggering 600 bands from which 100 acts were chosen to perform. The festival organisers will, this year, have some added surprises in store, including inviting some of the UK's emerging artists.

Is this not defeating the purpose of the event? Brits out.

dont be a cunt vincent. stagger lee are the girl that used to sing with humanzi back in the day. despite this, they are quite good, slow atmospheric, killsy stuff (supported kills in budrising yoke.) eoinpress reecommends.

Stagger Lee supported the Duke Spirit and VHS or BETA at Budrising in TBMC

When I say supported they were given a 3 song slot.

They played 3 very good, moody, brooding songs which suited her dour demeanour to the ground.

She was kind of angsty Polly Jean meets the permanent period cramps of Patti Smith contemporised with industial / electro punk synths.

A breath of fresh air on an increasingly familiar bill of local hipsters.

People only call me Vincent when I'm in trouble. I guess I'm in trouble.

PS Brits out

So thumpers.....since when did HWCH get 'cool'... you were all slagging the shit out of it last year??

What gives?

eh?

I wasn't slagging the shit out of it last year.

So that's just me, anyways.

Dunno bout the rest of them, but there aren't that many people round here actually calling it cool so I wouldn't get too excited in that respect...

Actually, I can count three people in this thread who have said that they'll probably be at it. Hardly a major endorsement.

who says thumped knows what's cool anymore??

i think there's a good few there i'd like to see, it's a good bill -- though with 100 bands i reckon it would be a bad sign if there wasn't a healthy sprinkling of decent acts
