Following May’s riotous night of high volume hardcore in tandem with the Richter Collective, the State vs… gigs continues with a collaboration with the acclaimed Thumped.com – for over ten years now one of the country’s most passionate supporters of Irish music.
Representing State we have Le Galaxie, currently in the midst of a extensive Irish and UK tour. We’ve described them as ‘wholesome and gorgeous’ in the past and while the first part may be up for debate the second certainly isn’t.
Thumped, meanwhile, offer The Ambience Affair. Having released their Patterns EP earlier this year, the duo are returning to play a series of special of dates over the summer.
Each month’s gig will also feature an ‘Introducing…’ slot and June sees Feed The Bears doing the honours. Brand new on the Dublin scene, FTB have a track on the current Popical Island compilation. A thrilling combination of various pop and lo-fi influences, we love them and think you will too.
