Skinny Wolves are keeping themselves busy over the next couple of months, with gigs from Lucky Dragons, Telepathe & Tussle and a curating gig at Temple Bar Gallery & Studios.

First up there’s the return of Lucky Dragons on June 24th (yes, that’s tonight):

Lucky Dragons are back, and this time as a two piece! Lucky Dragons in the past have given us two of the most memorable shows in Skinny Wolves history, once in the Joy Gallery and once in the depths of basement floor in Portobello!

Their show is really something unique and special and has to be experienced to be believed. Crowd interaction is obligatory, barriers are broken and magic is created. This upcoming show takes place in the intimate settings of the Joinery, Stoneybatter on Thursday 24th June. Capacity is very limited, so please come down early to secure a space. Bring your own drinks and prepared to be touched!

Solar flare gamelan disco brain rot from Mt. Errigal in the form of School Tour, along with Woven Skulls “Gutter level Medi-evil Psych Folk” open up the night.

Skinny Wolves will next be curating a floor of the Temple Bar Gallery & Studios benefit on July 10th, with Sarsparilla, Crayonsmith & Skinny Wolves DJs, then on Friday 23rd July Silk Flowers & Twinkranes play a BYOB show at the New Smithfield Arts Centre (Ex-Chinese Market). The following Thursday (29th) These Are Powers, Cap Pas Cap, Thread Pulls & Grey Mayhem head to the Andrews Lane Theatre for a late show.

After that they’ve got Telepathe on 14th August in Whelans:

TelepatheRemoved from the centrifugal forces of Brooklyn’s “scenes” and avant-garde formulas, but no less crafted by that powerful creative hub, Telepathe carve up the boundaries between any number of genres including dub, hip-hop, and progressive pop, to devastating effect. They are the hypnotic, multi-layered sound of your new favorite band.

Though the band has a tradition of rotating members, Melissa Livaudais and Busy Gangnes are the creative pairing at the heart of Telepathe. Their half-spoken, half-sung voices, are seamlessly dubbed together as a unified call that’s at once plainly lush and undeniably creepy. Melissa and Busy possess an esoteric, voodoo-like charm that’s euphoric and impossible to ignore. They have an uncanny knack for crafting a distinctive sound that’s cavernous and compelling, but which also owns an over-riding pop sentiment capable of ensnaring the masses.

That’s followed by a visit from San Francisco’s Tussle:

Revived after a shake-up in ranks following the release of Telescope Mind, Tussle releases their follow-up, Cream Cuts. Cream Cuts finds Tussle expanding upon it’s own unique mix of drums, bass and electronics, at times echoing the elasticity and straight forward approach of their debut, Kling Klang, but with more color and complexity, while also integrating the psychedelic pulsating punch heard on Telescope Mind. Moving above and beyond their first two releases, Tussle map out worlds upon worlds on Cream Cuts, from creation to destruction to rebirth.
