Bodytonic‘s next Beatyard event will be held this Saturday, 13th March, at The Twisted Pepper. The Beatyard is a “… unique mix of food, music, talks, showcases, workshops and a bit of banter“.
Taking place on a monthly basis on Saturday afternoons in the Twisted Pepper – the idea is simple: The Beatyard is about bringing music & multi-media lovers together for an afternoon to share music, art, multimedia and ideas via education, inspiration & perspiration. For the most part, the aim to put music lovers in a space where they’ll meet like minded people and hopefully discover something new and different.
For each Beatyard, we’re also looking to help raise awareness, money and equipment for a cause or charity that has music in mind. For the first Beatyard, we helped out the Scoop Foundation’s project in Crannog Nua; a high support facility in Donabate which caters for young people with emotional and behavorial difficulties. For 2010 , over the course of 12 Beatyards we’re aiming to raise enough money , donations & equipment to fund a full fleged music & multi-media studio in Dublin City.

In light of the recent hysteria about the Headshop craze which has swept the country, Richard Brophy attempts to engage in a fair and even handed debate over the good and bad of legal highs with a local headshop owner and more who have been affected by the craze.
6 – 7pm ‘The Donnacha Costello story‘
The man himself speaks with Richard Brophy about Irish Techno, Steve Reich, Poker Flat & his forthcoming album
