The 1,500 capacity Body & Soul Festival takes place this weekend in Ballinlough Castle, Westmeath and there are still a few tickets left. Jape, Jennifer Evans, Fourtet, Chequerboard & Patrick Kelleher all play Saturday, with RSAG, !!! & Dr Alex Patterson among others lined up for Sunday.

The first ever Body & Soul Solstice Gathering offers music from the likes of FOURTET, !!! (CHK CHK CHK), JAPE, DR ALEX PATERSON (THE ORB), and RSAG, as well as acoustic jams, impromptu parties, wood-fired hot tubs, winding paths through delicious food stalls, holistic arts, a secluded soul kids garden, a masquerade ball with a moonlit orchestra, and bonfires under the stars. And this whole host of quirky nooks and crannies and delights is set to take place in dry, sunny conditions with temperatures set to soar to 22°C.

Gates open at 9am on Saturday 19th June. The full music line-up is now available on bodyandsoul.ie. Music on Saturday includes Four Tet, Jape, Crystal Fighters while Sunday sees performances from !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Tunng, and RSAG. The closing ceremony on Sunday will feature a night-time extravaganza celebrating the theme of this year’s Summer Solstice: Phoenix Rising. Expect: Pyrotechnic/Pyro-Performance pieces around Sun Discs, fireworks and some other fire-fantastical elements. (A full lineup of music can be found in editors notes)

Body&Soul Solstice Gathering takes place in Ballinlough Castle which is nestled between Athboy and Clonmellon, Co. Meath, and with the brand new M3 significantly reducing the journey time from Dublin to approx 45 minutes drive Organisers are aware of the environmental impact of people travelling to the festival and where possible recommend that festival goers use public transport to help reduce road congestion and carbon dioxide emissions or try car pooling. For carpooling info check out www.carpoolworld.com & http://www.tripmi.ie

Buses Eireann will be operating a bus service to Ballinlough Castle from Dublin, Cork, and Galway. Coaches to Concerts will operate a service from Belfast to the festival. For tickets please contact http://www.buseireann.ie or http://www.coachestoconcerts.co.uk

Fingers crossed they can keep the undesirables (crusties / drum circles and the like) out.
