North Atlantic Oscillation’s Sam Healy has released A Sleeper, Just Awake, his second solo LP under the name Sand
Following the critical success of his debut solo album ‘SAND‘ in 2013, NAO frontman Sam Healy has announced a release date for its follow-up, A Sleeper, Just Awake. The new album comes out on September 30, 2016, on Vineland Music.
Its organic production, introspective themes and spacious arrangements are a marked change from the frenetic psychedelia of NAO’s last record (2014’s The Third Day), but fans of the band are unlikely to be disappointed. ASJA is a complex, haunting work, but one which never takes its listeners’ attention for granted. Intricate rhythms and unusual timings are liberally sprinkled with pop hooks and memorable melodies.
