Delorentos release their new album “You Can Make Sound” on October 9th, on their own DeloRecords label.

Delorentos release their new album “You Can Make Sound” on October 9th, on their own DeloRecords label. It will be preceded by the single ‘Secret‘, due for release on October 2nd. The band have also announced a series of 9 gigs around the country.

[UPDATE] – Delorentos have just announced that all preorder copies of the album at Road Records will be signed by the band.

Having already given fans of the band an early taster of the album at the beginning of the year (in the shape of a free download of the title track, “You Can Make Sound”) the first single from the album will be “Secret” and will be released on 2 October.

Delorentos’ second album follows on the heels of their 2007 Top 10 debut In Love With Detail and demonstrates a leap forward in the maturity of the band’s songwriting while retaining the power and accessibility of their pin-point melodies. It seals the band’s commitment to continue with music after a two year period of trials, tribulations and uncertainty caused them to announce (and quickly rescind) earlier in the year that the band would be breaking up. Suffice it to say that Irish music fans are all the richer for the band’s recommitment to the cause!
