…and we missed it.

The show is recorded in Whelan’s parlour bar and is broadcast on Sunday nights at http://www.theparlour.tv and on DCTV, which is available on UPC channel 802. You can also catch up on aertv.ie.

The Parlour launched on Monday to a full house. It’s a new TV/web series showcasing not only some of the best music being played in the country, but some inviting insights into the conscientious world of independent music. It is being shot over 12 weeks in front of a select live studio audience in the Parlour Bar in Whelan’s. Each episode will be broadcast weekly – starting on Sunday, February 22nd at 8pm – on a dedicated website. It will simultaneously broadcast on Dublin Community Television’s UPC platform: channel 802.

Each episode will feature an exciting mix of performances from some of the most engaging artists in Ireland and beyond, as well as studio discussions about different aspects of the ever-changing musical ecosystem. Among the acts involved are Lynched, Katie Kim, Sleaford Mods & Jennifer Evans. The studio discussions will feature a diverse collection of guests including Niall Byrne (Nialler 9), Aoife Barry (Sweet Oblivion/The Journal.ie) and Liza Geddes (Friction PR).
