The Button Factory are throwing a FREE Christmas Party on Saturday December 22nd and taking part in the musical merriment will be multi-instrumentalist R.S.A.G, haunting electronic duo OCHO and space disco maestros PLUTONIC DUST. Rarely Seen Above Ground has been making waves since 2008 with his explosive live sets and his incomparable live show has always been a favourite of ours. The Choice Music Prize nominated artist’s Influences and comparisons have ranged from ESG, Talking Heads, Joy Division to Chemical Brothers and Aphex Twin. Live, R.S.A.G is a visual and aural delight. Playing live drums with midi triggers, which control audio and video clips, the latter designed by visual artist Geppetto.

Jeremy is currently back underground refining a new sound. The first taste of this can be heard on his online single This Winding Sheet. Described by Niall Byrne -State.ie “it harks back to the sound of his first album, yet pushes the envelope into interesting electronic sound additions. Drums propel the song while all manner of interesting bleeps, synths, guitar, bass and eventually vocals, work around it”. The eagerly awaited 4th Album is due out in 2013!!

OCHO have come out this year with one of the most compelling Irish releases in a while and a hauntingly beautiful sound. They’re lead singer and writer Stace Gill and Producer/Writer DOS, with guest musicians Eanna Hickey, Jill Deering, Lisa Cuthbert and Sarah Glesson. OCHO’s debut album was released in May 2012 and instantly caught the attention of national radio, which is a massive achievement for an act with their sound. They have performed a number of sold out shows and Electric Picnic where they performed on the main stage in Body & Soul.

“Wrapping” up our line-up are newcomers Plutonic Dust who deliver a live disco show influenced by all things Studio 54, classic disco like Chic & Kool & The Gang plus modern producers from Todd Terje to James Murphy. These boys know how to party!
