You don’t get much for a tenner these days, but next week it’ll get you a ticket to see 50 acts play the Ones To Watch festival at Whelan’s & The Village, including Jogging, Wizards Of Firetop Mountain, Logikparty, Last Days Of 1984 and oh about 45 others.
Following on from the amazing success of last year’s Ones To Watch festival, Whelanslive are set to light up a dreary January with four days of amazing music across three stages featuring the best and brightest of new and emerging Irish acts that we expect to see a lot more of this year and some established acts with something important to say in 2012.
You can expect to hear a dizzying range of musical styles throughout the week from folk to indie rock to punk rock to experimental and you can participate in this wonderful parade of Irish musical talent for the princely sum of €5 for a day ticket and €10 for a festival ticket and that also includes a free pint of Heineken. That’s a tenner for 50 acts and a free pint!
With more acts still TBC here is a selection of what to expect over the course of the four days
Daithi, Elaine Mai, Hello Moon, Wizards Of Firetop Mountain, Pulled Apart, Logikparty, Crayonsmith, Lamp, Melodica Deathship, Jogging, Bridges Of Madison County, Nanobot, Bantum, White Collar Boy, Last Days Of 1984, Tenaka, Reid, Trophy Boyfriend, Simon Bird, School Tour, Bouts, The North Sea, The Alarmist, The Dying Seconds, VerseChorusVerse and much much more
