Bringing together the world’s leading creatives we hope to produce an event that will both showcase the best work being done today aswell as engaging with the Irish creative community at large for a weekend of celebration, debate, inspiration and assurance that we’re going to get through the shitstorm we’re all going through at the moment.
At 120 euro plus booking fee it represents incredible value when you compare it to international equivalents. and for people on the island it means not having to travel abroad and paying flights and accommodation. For people travelling from beyond Dublin we will have news soon of our preferential rates for accommodation so be assured we’re trying our level best to make this affordable for all.
We believe that Ireland needs an event like OFFSET on an (at least) annual basis to facilitate dialogue and while we want you to buy the tickets we also want you to come along, enjoy the speakers but also, get involved. Whether that’s by having your say at one of the daily discussions, giving up an hour to help someone with their portfolio, selling something at the onsite shop or expanding on the programming please get in touch and please help make this amazing.
One such way you can get involved is by taking part in our studio open day on the Thursday afternoon, the day before the conference. What this will entail is giving over 2, 4, 6 or 8 hourly slots to let people into your studio, show them around, show them how you work and inspire them on to being better. We will manage the entire process on your behalf so you can be assured that your studio won’t be overrun.
We’re also in the process of signing up lots more people and have added Experimental Jetset, Pecha Kucha, 3 gallery events, a creative trail, portfolio clinics, State of the Nation debates in photography, illustration and design and much more besides. We’re also on the scout for creatively minded sponsors and people who want to invest in this project, we want it to be as good as it possibly can so if you’ve any ideas or contacts please let us know.
