My manager is a barely competent arsehole and disses my work to other colleagues. I'm fit to murder her.

When I am in the office I get endless inane questions about simple shit like downloading files.

If my home situation wasn't so difficult to deal with I'd have looked for a transfer ages ago. She is such a fucking knob.
Sickener. Some amount of dopes in the service. Miserable people in work can really spoil your life nearly.

Failed the second go at HEO. Meh.

Cheers lads. Boss is just not busy enough to justify my wages and diesel. Says since inflation picked up people are just not spending money. And we'd both have no homes to come back to if we took Dublin work on again.

Should be able to get a job with a bigger company ok.
have savings and also mortgage protection nonsense so not too worried. Just annoyed and feel let down. Going to get started on the cv after lunch. At least it's up to date- ish as I only updated it over Xmas for the job I just got let go from

I am a qualified Electronic Security Systems Engineer.
I install and maintain cctv, intruder and fire alarms, access control and few other bits like data networks, automatic gates etc.
Basically like a low voltage electrician. The first Half of our apprenticeship was pretty much the same as The Electricians' one; same principles but branches off into more specialised fields

For the first time ever I have a call this morning with a recruiting agent via LinkedIn. The job has a great salary and lots of perks. But I've spent years digging myself into my rut and I'm not sure I want to dig myself out now.

Deffo go for it. From someone who was institutionalised by multinationals, I got out 5 years ago and never regretted it for a second.

I am filled with trepidation
thats only natural. But they need to convince you that you want them as much as they want you.

Without knowing what you do or how well you do it, I can say with certainty that you'll be grand and your biggest problem will be what to spend all the extra wonga on.

According to the missis and a friend working in tax stuff,

I'd only be down €25 Euro a week if I only did 4 days working instead of 5 and got payed pro-rata.
Insane. Thanks stupid cliff edge tax bands!
Will deffo be angling for it in new jobs

As someone mostly on a 4 day week - i think the day is worth more than a days pay to have to get life stuff done. a lot of mine just manifest in housekeeping and maintenance, but i've way more energy for my actualy job when i do saunter back on monday
