Yo La Tengo - Vicar Street, 23rd March 2013 (1 Viewer)

If I was to recommend one to begin with, it'd be either I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass or I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One (the one with Sugarcube on it). I was a bit disappointed with the last one, to be honest, but it's still a good album. I'd give it three out of five. Maybe I should listen to it a bit more!

Managed to miss them at least four times now, so I'm mad keen to go to this.

Their last album "popular songs" is as good a place as any. It's really good.
Their last gigs here were great.

raging i missed that tripod gig. popular songs is great. reading abook about them, at the moment. it's not marvelous.

new one is produced by John McEntire.

Really?! That'll be interesting in itself, haven't they had the same lad (Roger Moutenot) producing since their early LPs...?

only know sugarcube. any hints on where to start with them?

The Prisoners of Love 2Disc comp is good. And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out is my personal fav but doesn't have as broad a pallet as, say, I Can Hear the Heart... or I'm Not Afraid of You...

I thought that I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass was fantastic
