I saw these a few times..one was with John Spencer open air in Coney Island!
Super hot day in August..we went on all the shitty rides and shot balloons with air rifles and I won the girlfriend a cuddly toy and ate candy floss... everything you'd expect to do in Coney.Done acid.

Unbelievable.

First time I ever met anyone who suffered with gout was at that..a jewish lad.Man the amount of drugs we took.

Got the tube back to the city and went clubbing afterwards in some mad huge gay club where Danny Rampling was resident DJ.Name escapes me now.Was class

I'd forgotten about that

I have a 7" single by them which I really like, I have stuff by them on comps which I love, I saw them in Dublin and it was awesome. Have I taken the step of buying their albums and becoming a fan? no. That happens.

Rowland S Howard

Have heard the name around for years but only recently heard him thanks to this video. My favourite kind of guitar playing!!

David Essex. I thought he was just some Gilbert O'Sullivan wannabe but his first album at least is decent. Tortoise cover one of the songs on their new album, that's what prompted me to check him out

Thats absolutely terrific!

Rock ON is a stone cold classic
Years ago, my grandparents were dropping me and my friend into town to see The Smashing Pumpkins at the Olympia. They were telling us that the last time they were at the Olympia was to see David Essex. That night, Billy Corgan segued from one of his songs into a big heavy version of "Rock On".

Delighted to discover these..but when I go to "like" their Facebook page relaise that loads of my friends already know them

A bittersweet experience
