Wow, I have just discovered... (2 Viewers)

the one i like more than any is hot rats. largely because of "willie the pimp" which has beefheart singing on it. i find a lot of the zappa stuff hard to get into, not least due to the *zany* nature of it, especially the mothers stuff. hot rats doesn't have any of that and it's the only one i've managed to get into.

I think he has put out allot only thing i have heard was The Mothers Of Invention Freak Out! someone lent me once.

The sarcasm is relentless. I would like an albums worth of peaches en regalia's

This band do almost everything that I wish rock bands would never do (e.g. sing in silly voices, wear silly costumes, play bluegrass) and I still love them.

For years I had it in my head that Siouxsie & the banshees were just another ham fisted punk band. I was wrong.
What era you listening to? I find the Scream hard work, the kind of thing that would have blown my mind when I was 14 but all a bit po-faced and frowny now, first year in university style pretentiousness. They're a band i definitely need to listen to more of though.

I think i'll give their mid 80's stuff a shot as well, you've inspired me. I've been putting them off for years.

I bought the first Siousxie record a while back and was blown away. Listened to some stuff from after that and it was dreadful. Probably why it took me so long to hear the good one.

I was mad for this song as a teenager in 1988. It sounds a bit overly dramatic now, but still
