No, you're wrong there, it's bad, it's really fucking awful.
Yeah ok, fair enough. I didn't watch all of it cos i was too digusted but it sounded ok from what i did listen to.

And may I ask why are you a fan of her music ?
Her solo album last year was basically a new-wave guitar'n'synths album tailored specifically for my music tastes.

If I divorce myself from her loudmouth tweeting, bad internet poetry and attention seeking ukelele playing I think she is still a really good songwriter with interesting stuff to say about the world. I don't expect to change your mind on her or anything BTW.

Okay. So not the new Joanna Newsome.

Damn it because I really could have gotten some hate miles out of her.

The search goes on.

There seems to a whole mini-industry now of fey acoustic cover versions with whispery young women with slight London accents written for insurance or deodorant ads.
I was going to link to it but fuck them

I blame those charlatans Nouvelle Vague and every tosspot that ever played that stuff in a coffee shop

We're currently in the group stage for the John Lewis advert in December. Lucrative

What's the current one? Someone was doing Lets Dance that way about a year ago, right?

This cover used to make me so very angry

It's like the type of thing I'd break out into at a party as a wind up and people would start thinking I was really feeling it.

edit: LOL I was complaining about this on page 2 back in 2008!

This a great ukulele song for absolute wankers to bust out at any opportunity.

i like the bit at 2:40ish where she misses her cue and just stops pretending to play the cello for a while. And i'm not entirely convinced by that triggered kick either.
