I remember this - a load of people doing covers of The Stones' song for the homeless charity Shelter. all the ones I heard were terrible.
They asked Carter USM to be involved but they couldn't as Allen Klein (who swindled the Stones out their 60's back catalog) was suing Carter over the line ''Goodbye Ruby Tuesday'' in their hit After The Watershed.
I think Klein got all the royalties from AtW.

includes Sam Fox singing for Hawkwind and Tom Jones w/ New Model Army.

I remember these lads from Illinois but everything I had by them (maybe a demo and/or an EP) was fast HC.
NO ska. I think they were from the same scene as CHARLES BRONSON - the band.
