Just went to two games in Montreal tonight.
CAN$14 entry (less than 10 euro) including ticketbastard charges for entry for the whole thing.
Savage evening's entertainment. First game was Poland v US. Poland had beaten Brazil 1-0 in their first game, and went 1 up after 6 mins here. However, US came back and won 6-1!! Freddy Adu scored a hat-trick, savage performance
Left our nosebleed seats and snuck down way closer for Brazil against Korea. Brazil were 3 up with 7 minutes to go, and then the plucky Koreans scored two and nearly grabbed an equaliser. Savage atmosphere. Brazilian fans nuts in a good way, and the amazing Korean fans were definitely the spur behind the almost comeback. The ovation Korea got at the end was something else, even the brazilian fans acknowledged that. They may have lost the game, but they won my heart and I'm gonna go to the Poland v Korea game on Friday with a big Korean flag. Only found out today that Liverpool's new lad Lucas got injured a few days ago and was missing.
All in all, FOOTBALL WAS THE WINNER.
ps it still wasn't as exciting as a munster final though. obviously.
