Words and phrases that are soooo...meh! Like meh (1 Viewer)

This article isn't badly written per se but its entire lexicon, cadence and turn of phrase seems to be in that new form of internet english that is equal parts (attempted) high and low brow, carefully self-aware and intertextual, completely self involved and wholly unsatisfactory:

The sad and lonely life of an Eminem fan in 2018

it drives me fucking mad so it does

Yeah, the Brits.

I used to knock around with this proper Oxbridge lad when I was doing my MA. He wasn't a bad lad, but kept using the word, "bell-end." 'You sound like a proper bell-end.' 'Don't be a bell end.' etc.

Another lad from Manchester, who sounds like a dripping faucet uses the following:

'jelly' - "you sound dead jelly." [eh, jealous]
'wets' - "cold beers."
'chapper' - chap, lad, etc.
'melt' - eh, idiot, or someone talking rubbish. Awful.

I'm sure there were more. I haven't seen him in a few months.
