Of all the every four year sporting events this one could be my favourite.

You've got running, but on ice with skates, you've got men on tiny plastic trays going hundreds of miles an hour, everyone wears spacey looking jump suits... and no one really knows anything about the sports anyhow... so you don't feel stupid like with soccer cause you don't where so and so was brought up or who his wife is/was... Richie Hawtin did the music for the opening ceremony... and The Pastels wrote a song about them years ago...

the only sport im really interested in, howver is the snowboarding. one of my future husbands, markku koski, is competing this year! it's all very exciting.
